Weekly Horoscope: September 23-29, 2019

Libra season gets underway with three planets now in the sign. But attempts to love the one (or what) you’re with must first undergo a testing phase.

On Monday, September 23, the Sun makes its annual shift into creative and cooperative Libra for a 4-week stay. With love goddess Venus and expressive Mercury already in this sign, we’re highly aware that life is so much better lived a deux. But Libra is the sign of the scales, and so we are much more willing to make the kind of compromises that can lead to a better partnership, professional or personal.

The equ

inox also marks the time when light and darkness are perfectly balanced. It’s a good time to take a moment to align with the cosmic energies and assess your life. Endpoint: to bring it into equilibrium.

Meanwhile, mental Mercury gets a big assist late in the day on Tuesday, September 24. It teams with optimistic Jupiter to help us make big plans. As soon as Thursday, though, trouble can arise. We may too bluntly speak our deepest truth, leading to conflicts with those in authority.

Our Venus in Libra desire for the perfect partnership or style upgrade is driving with the brakes on. Because with the square to austere Saturn on Wednesday, we may feel a bit Scrooge-ish when it comes to love or month. And overly concerned with getting it right. We also might exaggerate any feelings of being unloved or unsupported. On the positive side, it’s a good time to pay a debt or favour owed.

The influence carries over into the New Moon on Saturday, September 28 at 2:26 pm ET. As always, it kicks off a new cycle. We may come to the realization that a relationship or financial issue simply isn’t working. Social obligations may fill us with resentment rather than joy. With Venus now squaring Pluto in addition to Saturn, our responses may be overly harsh and extreme.

The pink planet also forms a quincunx rapport with erratic Uranus, we may be tempted to simply kick free. If ever compromise were called for, the time is now. They key is clear communication and creative reframing.

The saving grace: The strongest aspect of this lunation is a happy sextile between pleasure-loving Venus and party-hearty Jupiter. This evokes a time when people are more gregarious and generous than usual. Our vision of what the good life entails—materially, romantically, socially—expands.

As well, a stroke of luck or generosity can restore our faith in humanity. And we are more inclined to return the favour, giving back to folks near and dear or our community.
