Technically, we’ve cleared the first eclipse corridor of 2026 with last week's total lunar eclipse. But so intense was this period, that we may continue to grapple with the intense energies of change for some time.

Next week, we welcome spring, a New Moon and the end of Mercury retrograde! But for now, a relatively uneventful week gives us time to regroup and process.

Very soon, it will be easier to look forward with hope and optimism, because on Tuesday jovial giant Jupiter stations direct. This means it’s at a standstill before shifting gears. And during these times its influence, which includes the pursuit of joy and hapiness, is enhanced. Now in sensitive Cancer, the sign thought to bring out the planet’s best qualities, it will be easier to access positive feelings. Kindness and empathy overfloweth, and we may find it easier to reach a common emotional ground with others.

Jupiter also holds sway over the first half of the week because the Moon is in Sagittarius, the sign associated with it.

As Jupiter stations, it is very close to the fixed star Sirius, the “dog star” in Canis Major and one that shines brightly in the night sky. Astrologer Bernadette Brady in her Book of Fixed Stars notes that it was of special significance to the ancient Egyptians. Also called “The Scorcher,” it shines brightly in the charts of public figures who experienced metoric rise to fame followed by a sudden fall or even death.

On a spiritual level, some equate it with love and liberation.

Also on Tuesday, the Sun semisquares Pluto, front burnering underlying tensions related to trust and control During this period, we may find our sense of inner calm disrupted by issues surrounding manipulation or intimidation. Even minor actions that appear to thwart can provoke irritation, making it important to be mindful of power dynamics in personal and professional interactions.

On Wednesday, March 11, Jupiter trines asteroid Pallas Athena, boosting both creative thinking and emotional intelligence. Innovative ideas can flourish and intuitive understanding is heightened. We may more easily access imaginative thoughts and original concepts. The energy encourages the exploration of new possibilities and the development of inventive solutions.

Thursday sees the Moon moving into pragmatic Capricorn.  We may find it hard to tend to business early in the day, though, as it forms uneasy alliances with other planets.  It may take until late afternoon and early evening to see any progress, especially when communicating with loved ones.

Friday is another story; circle it as the most productive day of the week. Mercury is still retrograde, though, so it’s best to doublecheck all facts. As well, Mars conjuncts the north node, bringing a heightened awareness of our true motivations and a call to action. During this period, we may feel called to take steps that align with their higher vision or spiritual aspirations. In Pisces, actions undertaken at this time may be driven by deep compassion and a sense of altruism. There is a strong desire to connect with something greater than oneself, whether that be a spiritual calling, a purpose-driven cause, or a quest for growth.

Mindful communication is the weekend theme. Retrograde Mercury and Mars conjoin early Sunday, so its effects are felt both days. Their meeting in Pisces places a strong focus to how we communicate. Usually, this combination leads to more forthright and direct expression, but the sign’s non-confrontational style tempers. The downfall: we may be prompted to employ passive-aggressive tactics or become keyboard warriors, loosing aggression from a safe distance. With the Moon now in Aquarius, it’s a wonderful time to envision a different future and set new goals, then chart out an action plan. It’s also an excellent time to commune with our spiritual side, taking a heart-centred, compassionate approach to communication.
