Illumination ahead, with a New Moon mid-week just before the Sun shifts into truth-seeking Sagittarius.

On Monday, we’re under the beams of the Sun in profound Scorpio trining Saturn in soulful Pisces. This aspect allows us to plumb the depths of our emotions while maintaining perspective and taking the higher ground. As well, Mercury forms a sextile to Pluto, which could mean some revelations are on hand, but nothing we can’t handle.

On Tuesday, Mercury retrogrades back into Scorpio. This adds more depth to our thinking, and if we need to research any topic can provide the focus we need to get to the bottom of things. Issues that arose around October 6-8 may resurface and need to be addressed. Communications go to next-level intensity, and we may find our words have more power; wield it wisely.

Wednesday finds us keenly aware of the potent New Moon, exact at 1:47 am EST on Thursday, November 20, late Wednesday night on the West Coast.

With the New Moon, the Sun and Moon meet in conjunction with Mercury just as it disappears from the sky, entering the “heart of the Sun.” This is a fresh start for the winged planet; it is in the middle of its retrograde phase, and with its outer effectiveness is being eclipsed, its inner nature is at its height. In the probing sign of Scorpio, Mercury infuses this lunations with deeply significant insights for our own inner growth. It’s important to listen to our inner voices, which may speak less in words but more in emotions and images.

The Sun, Moon and Mercury all stand opposing Uranus. It is the planet of change and reform, of swiftly sweeping away outmoded ways of doing things or being. It catapults us into a more functional future, which ordinarily would signal a shakeup, bringing shocking, even alarming energy. it ordinarily can be very difficult on the nerves.

But there is a cosmic conspiracy going on with the rest of the outer planets, all of whom form positive alliances. The New Moon is just past a soulful grand trine with Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces, adding emotional sensitivity and positivity. This configuration in water signs can help us access our intuition as well as our imagination and our dreams.

And Uranus’ upsetting tendencies are mitigated by a sextile to spiritual and calming Neptune in Pisces, which also closely sextiles the New Moon. Uranus represents the so-called higher or awakened mind, and Neptune carries the vibration of divinity. Working together, they now offer opportunities to access expanded consciousness and greater sensitivity to subtle energies. Longer-term, this aspect will be in effect from August 2025 through July 2026.

At the time of the New Moon, Pluto in Aquarius also is sextile both the luminaries and Neptune. This adds a new dimension conducive to reclaiming our power, both individually and collectively. As the ruler of the Scorpio New Moon, it favours any efforts to reach the depths of our psyches and bring that which is hidden into the light. We have emotional courage now.

We are now on the threshold of something new and different. But before we get there, with five planets in retrograde and most in the final degrees of their signs, we may be compelled to face the past to make way for it.

On Friday, the Sun enters Sagittarius for its annual stay until December 21.  The mood shifts dramatically, to less intense and more buoyant. A more optimistic and open phase begins, with a heightened sense of adventure. This sign is fired by a quest for new experiences and a deeper understanding of the meaning of life. A generous heart and hopeful approach to life also comes with this sign.

The weekend outlook is mostly upbeat, as the Moon is also in the sociale and freewheeling sign of the Archer. As well, there is an exact grand trine between Mercury, Saturn and Jupiter. Our thoughts will be upbeat but also strongly influenced by our emotions. It will be essential to remember the usual Mercury in retrograde advice and not sign any important documents or make a major purchase you can’t return.

By Sunday, the Moon will be in sober Capricorn, and the Sun sextile Pluto aspect reaches exactitude. We may wish to take time to reflect on all the deep transformation that is underway. New Moons are a reset, starting a fresh 28 day cycle. Where will this one take you?
