Venus enters Cancer this week, and there are plenty of planetary plot twists thanks to Leo season that invite us to embrace both the joy and the drama.
The Moon is in conscientious Virgo on Monday. Not finding any helpful allies as it progresses, we might experience a sense of dissatisfaction with out efforts. Or some irritation at how elusive perfection is.
On Tuesday, Luna enters graceful and sociable Libra. It makes uncomfortable aspects to other planets very early, when most folks are sleeping. Later, though, it makes a productive sextile to both the Sun and Mercury in creative and expressive Leo. This is an excellent day for communications, especially if they involve speaking our hearts or ambitions.
Wednesday, July 30, is more eventful as love goddess Venus enters Cancer, where it will stay until August 25. This astrological transit calls us home, to the place where we feel safe, comforted and a sense of belonging. Gestures of care—whether expressed through words, touch or simple acts of kindness—are what matters now. In relationships, we seek heartfelt connections, and we may find ourselves drawn to the familiar over the unknown. This is a time when intuition deepens, and sensitivity to the emotional climate around us becomes heightened, for good or bad. In money, too, we’re more likely to spend on sprucing up our homes or pampering those we love.
Mercury has a very important rendezvous with the Sun this Thursday. As they form a conjunction, the small planet is said to be cazimi, or “in the heart of the Sun.” Happening in Leo, this Mercury cazimi is a powerful astrological event that can bring clarity, insights, and a fresh perspective. Now the celestial spotlight shines not outward, but straight into the hidden corridors of the self. This is a time for revelations, for insights that rise quietly from within. The energy is ripe for mindfulness, for sitting with your own thoughts and letting intuition bubble up through the cracks of habitual thinking. Meditation, journaling, honest self-inquiry—all become powerful tools, allowing you to see facets of yourself that may have been previously obscured by the clamor of everyday life.
Friday’s Scorpio quarter moon encourages careful consideration about what to share and what to keep private. Being overly secretive, as is the Scorpion’s wont, can frustrate others and lead to mistrust. On the other hand, a need to get to the bottom of things can lead to oversharing. Approachable yet discerning is the best approach, allowing others to earn your trust at a reasonable pace without putting up unnecessary barriers.
On the same day, Venus in Cancer squares off with Saturn and Neptune in Aries. This alignment warns against making assumptions in either romantic or business relationships. It can lead to misreading intentions and signals, which results in confusion and upset. Best policy; ensure both parties feel heard and supported. Address any imbalances or frustrations in relationships before moving forward, approaching difficult conversations with patience and empathy.
These trends continue into the first half of the weekend, though by Saturday evening things ease enough to make for enjoyment. The mood lightens dramatically on Sunday, as the Moon enters freewheeling, party-hearty Sagittarius. Throughout the day, it makes helpful relationships with many planets. Early risers may find an easing of any previous tensions in relationships, and that a way to negotiate any conflicts appears easily. Under the beams of this gregarious sign, the rest of the day is optimal for socializing, especially it involves sports or being active in the outdoors. But just about anywhere we go, we can find friendly folks and good times.
