Buckle up, for the pace accelerates rapidly leading up to Thursday’s illuminating Full Moon at the same degree as the Galactic Center, a powerful point in the sky located near the center of our Milky Way galaxy.
Astronomically, the Galactic Center is a supermassive black hole known as Sagittarius A*, which is located about 26,000 light-years from Earth. Astrologically, 14 Sagittarius is considered a significant degree associated with the Great Attractor, symbolizing a powerful point of attraction, intensity, and galactic influence.
The week begins with the Moon in fiery Aries, squaring off with impulsive Jupiter around midday Monday. This gives a big boost to confidence levels—perhaps too much. We may be urged to forge ahead, make a fresh start or bold declaration, only to later find we’ve overdone it. with Mercury retrograde, we might not be making wise choices at Cyber Monday sales. Make sure there’s a good return policy.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Moon settles into serene Taurus, offering us a chance to get grounded. We may be drawn to self-care actions like cooking healthy meals to share or crafting. We’re also under the beams of a Venus-Pluto sextile, ideal for recognizing true worth in both personal connections and monetary opportunities. This aspect helps foster an environment where greater honesty and intimacy with loved ones can flourish, paving the way for deeper bonds and more meaningful connections.
The Gemini Full Moon peaks on Thursday, December 4, at 6:14 pm EST. In the sign of data and information, it will be marked by an abundance of same and may bring about significant developments in communications. Expect fast-breaking news, surprising revelations, sudden moments of clarity, and unexpected twists in conversations. Misunderstood messages and resurfacing discussions likely will come into play since Mercury is still in its post-retrograde shadow phase.
This lunation packs some emotional punch as well since it is a Super Moon, meaning its orbit brings it nearest the Earth. And the proximity to the Great Attractor likely will further acceleration the current fast pace of events. Also squaring the lunar nodes of destiny, we might also have a sense that what is occurring around us is highly significant, perhaps even fated.
Flexibility is the best coping strategy now. Embrace curiosity and remain open-minded (Gemini’s strong suits) rather than reactive to the developments that unfold. By staying adaptable and inquisitive, you will be better equipped to handle any sudden changes or revelations that arise during the Gemini Full Moon.
The trend continues into Friday, with the Moon still in the sign of the Twins keeping us busy and productive. As well, Mars forms a harmonious trine to Chiron, helping us to connect with our core needs and desires. This aspect encourages a greater sense of inner security and encourages both healing and self-acceptance.
The Moon enters Cancer for a weekend stay, inviting us to retreat gently and perhaps cocoon, taking time to rest and recharge.
On Saturday, expressive Mercury in passionate Scorpio trines Jupiter in sensitive Cancer. There is no better time to get back in touch with “all the feels,” honouring our feelings and intuition, too. We may even favour non-verbal communication with both in water signs, and will be open to expressing that which is nearest our hearts. Thinking processes are deeply coloured by emotions, though, making it difficult to separate rational thoughts from our feelings.
Mind how you go on Sunday, as Mars makes a quincunx to Jupiter, an aspect I find corresponds to impulsivity, even accidents. It can make us restless, wanting to move about at any cost, and to overestimate our abilities, be it to stick a landing on the ski hill or make it through a yellow light when driving. As well, Venus makes a sesquiquadrate to Jupiter, prompting a desire for immediate gratification when it comes to love and money as well. Fortunately, mental Mercury also trines stable Saturn. We’re able to summon common sense and intuit a wise course of action, and can communicate with purpose.
